Alferio Maugeri is a French painter, originally born in San Antonio (Sicilia) in 1933. At a very young age, he saw himself entrusted with the restauration of churches following the steps of Michelangelo and other Renaissance Masters.
During that time, he developped the Art of the trompe l’œil, fake marble, gilding leaves and the appreciation for religious frescos.
Thanks to a perfect technical mastery, he produces his own pigmentation.
Alferio Maugeri is a member of the Arts, Sciences and Letters commission in Paris and his work is world recognized.
He has exhibited his Art in Milan, New York, Geneva, Osaka and Tokyo, always exerting magnetism and fascination.
His personal style, by the lightness of his touch erases aggressiveness and futility, and makes the viewer penetrate into a world of harmony, light and colors.
Some of his works appear in reknown private collections and one of his pieces was reproduced in a collection stamp in limited edition.
In 2008, Maugeri signs an exclusivity contract with the Marciano galleries.
