Michèle TAUPIN captures the dynamisn, strength or nonchalance of bodies thanks to the play of rhytmic lines, highly nuanced colors springing from a fluid luminosity. These bodies pervade a monumental form of sound robustness but feminity is always present in each one of them.
Composition is often treated through dominant colors: ocher, blue, yellow, a sparkle of red, black or white accentuate the value of the hues rendered by a skilled hand. The surface is worked with glaze, reliefs, rubbing and flattening techniques which make its texture particularly rich. Shade and light constantly repond to each other through the radiant flesh wrapped in transparent drapes.
