Laurence JENKELL was born in 1965, in Bourges, France.
New realism and Pop Art influences are portrayed in her interpretaion of candy wrappers, that also betray her weakness for sweets and a certain nostalgy of childhood. She uses a technique of wrapping and twisting of altuglas. Through playful textures and joyful, tangy colors, she aims to awaken our senses, taste, smell and touch by materializing desire.
JENKELL works in the south of France and has exhibited her works worldwide.
