Bligny was born April 19th, 1948, in Couches.
From 1964 to 1967, he is an apprentice teacher at the normal school of Macon and studies at the same time at the Beaux Arts. In 1969, he moves to Paris and takes classes at the Superior Normal School of Fine Arts. He studies anatomy, perspective, decoration and Art history. At the same time, he participates in the creation of mock-ups of fabrics for great designers such as Lanvin, Dior or Cacharel. From the end of the 70's forward, he organizes numerous private and group exhibits. In 1990, he receives first prize in France's Fine Arts' Grand Prix and obtains the silver medal of the international Academy of Lutece. Bligny exhibits his work all over France but also abroad in countries such as Bhutan, Germany, Japan or the United States.
