Thierry BISCH was born in 1953 in Strasbourg.

Thierry BISCH was born in 1953 in Strasbourg, from a family of industrialists. His great grand-father, a painter from Lyon named Louis Janmot (1814-1892), has had a great influence on him from early childhood. After highschool, he travelled through eastern Europe and the middle East. In 1978, he settled in Toulouse. At the Fine Art's school, his passion became drawing, particularly life and figure drawing. In 1984, BISCH arrives in Paris and becomes co-founder of the independent rock label "Reflexes". He also participates in the graphic Art magazine "Zoulou". In 1986, he writes and produces a movie about the fashion designer, Thierry Mugler, for the then new channel, Canal +. BISCH became Mugler's personal assistant on photography and special projects which would lead them to Russia, China, Africa and the US. Since his days at Toulouse's Art school, he never ceased to draw. In 1989, encouraged by Mugler, he takes the leap. Until 1995, he specializes in children's portraits and lives on special orders. BISCH is the resident Artist at the Lutetia hotel from 2001 and lives near Blaye, in Gironde.
From 2004 on, his animal portraits have known international fame. In january 2007, he was name knight of the Letters and Arts order.
