Roger SURAUD was born in October, 31st 1938, in Saint Etienne, France.
Son and grandson of sculptors, he oriented himself towards an architecture degree and obtains the 1st price of architecture of the Fine Art School 2 years in a row. However, Roger SURAUD could not resist the call of painting, and he starts exhibiting his works in several European salons as soon as 1964.
Uncontested leader of philosophical painting, SURAUD is among one of the greatest masters of his time. His work, that expresses the eternal wander of Man towards its creation is an invitation to dream and meditation. Powerful and romantic, his paintings show the viewer Man through his history, Artistical, Cultural, and Spiritual. SURAUD rewrites civilization, in its glory and excessiveness.
The works of SURAUD are exhibited in several private collections in France as well as abroad (Europe, Asia, USA, the Middle East, Morocco, Canada…).
